Victorian Day

Trying out some Victorian games and toys.

We have been making cushions in D&T.

Sports Day.

Learning how to dress a Roman soldier.

On World Book Day we took part in lots of special activities based on the book 'Flotsam'.

Each spring Willow Class attend a dance festival at Boroughbridge.

Each year Willow Class present a special collective worship to showcase our learning. This year we created a shadow puppet show.

One of our trips this year was to the Castle Museum in York which really made our history learning about entertainment in the 20th century, come alive.

In Design and Technology we made some mechanical toys using compressed air.

We are a class of Year 2 and Year 3 children and are taught by Mrs Gregson.

This coming year in Willow Class we will be doing lots of 'hands on' interactive learning. From investigating sounds in Science, making our own moving presentations in Computing to designing and making our own boats and a mechanical poster in D&T. We are also very excited to be learning all about the history of our village, Kirk Hammerton, with lots of visitors and trips around the local area to look forward to.
